We Specialize in Ball Screw RECONDITIONING
When you receive your rebuilt ball screw from Express Ball Screw Repair & Engineering, we guarantee that it will look and perform as well as or better than a new one. We utilize a time tested repair process which includes thread work. With thread work, all wear is removed from the ball threads which results in an even preload the entire length of the screw shaft. This unique process distinguishes us from our competitors and also allows us to include a one year warranty on every rebuild. Specializing gives us the opportunity to provide our customers with the best value and unbeatable turnaround times. With our Standard 5 Day Service and our Expedited 2 Day Service, we guarantee to have you back up and running with minimal downtime.
Choosing between rebuilding or replacing your ball screw assembly can often be a difficult decision to make based on several factors. Depending on price and availability, it is sometimes a better option to purchase new; however, more often than not, it is faster and more economical to have it reconditioned, saving you money and downtime.
Sometimes it is determined that a ball screw is too badly damaged for rebuild. When this is the case, we can often provide a new replacement either by customer provided blueprints, or by reverse engineering.
Below are several before and after reference photos of different ball screw assembly rebuilds that we have performed at our facility:
Refurbished double nut, Y-Axis ball screw assembly from an OKK MCH 600 horizontal machining center complete with custom wipers.
Reconditioned THK ball screw assembly from a Toshiba EC180 injection molding machine and includes a full rebuild, oil seals, and angular contact bearings.
Fully reconditioned Thomson Warner Electric rolled ball screw assembly with a spring loaded, adjustable ball nut. Most popularly found on the Z-Axis of a CNC Router.
This Y-Axis, NSK assembly from an Unison Dedtru centerless grinder, Model 1500, arrived at our facility with a broken drive end. We were able to complete the repair along with a full rebuild of the ball screw in just 5 days.
This Hiwin, Z-Axis, precision double-nut ball screw assembly from a Johnford TC35 CNC turning center was received for a complete rebuild. In addition to 4 new ball return tubes and 2 ball return clamps, we also machined and ground new precision ball nut spacers, all of which were missing upon arrival.
This Tsubaki high precision ball screw was in need of repair from an Okuma vertical machining center. The ball nut lost it's preload resulting in .0025" of axial backlash. Using our expedited service, we were able to rebuild, test, and ship out to our customer within 36 hours.
We repair inch and metric ball screws from any type of machine in almost any diameter. We have the ability to rebuild miniature ball screw assemblies less than two inches long to ball screw assembles with excess lengths of 40 feet, or more. No job is too big, or too small for Express Ball Screw Repair & Engineering.
